he HAL police on Thursday arrested a 27-year-old online food delivery executive for misbehaving with a 30-year-old home alone woman software engineer at AECS layout on March 17.
The accused identified as Akash Basavaraj,a native of Kalaburagi and residing in a PG at Kundalahalli colony, went to the victim’s house to deliver the food.
The accused noticing she was alone requested her to let him use the wash room as it was an emergency.
The victim allowed him and went to the kitchen to attend the chores.The accused followed her in the kitchen and held her hand.
Realizing this the victim hit him with a frying pan and raised alarm following which the accused fled the scene .
The victim raised the complaint with the food delivery company and to the police.
The HAL police registered a case under section 354a ( Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and arrested the accused .
