Four conmen arrested by CCB for cheating a art teacher to the tune of Rs.4.10 Crore promising KPSC Membership

he CCB officials on Monday arrested a gang of four conmen who cheated a art teacher from Kalaburagi promising KPSC membership and cheated her with Rs. 4.10 crore .

The accused identified as Riyaz Ahmed,41,from Tavarekere,Yusuf Subbukatte,47,from Malleshwaram, Chandrappa C,44,agricultural assistant at Zilla Panchayath office,Mudigere,Chikkamagaluru and Rudresh,35 from Ramanagara.

Senior officer told reporters,The accused claiming to have high contacts had demanded Rs.5 Crore to get the job and even issued her appointment letter in Chief Minister and Governor’s letter head.

The prime accused Riyaz according to the police,is a habitual offender and was arrested based on the complaint filed by Neelamma,M,who had come to city with the appointment letter for confirmation and later filed a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha.

The CCB took over the case and track down Riyaz and his associates and recovered Rs.40 lakh and four phones from them .

Riyaz was booked under similar cheating cases and the cases are pending trail,a senior police officer, said .

Police suspect that the accused would approach the victims through their contacts and offer to get the jobs through their contacts and extort huge sum of money.
