The Basaveshwaranagar police on tuesday arrested a 31-year-old cab driver for threatening Kannada Film producer Umapathy over his remark on Jailed film actor Darshan on social media .
Based on the complaint,the police arrested Chethan, on the charges of intentional insult and criminal intimidation.
He was later released on bail after he apologised for his action at the station with folded hands and the clip was put it on social media .
According to the police,Chethan a hard core fan of Darshan was upset about Film Producer Umapathy’s comment on Darshan .
Umpathy and Darshan had a fight over movie tittle and Darshan’s rude behaviour.
With his arrest the police sent a strong message to Darshan’s fan followers that legal action will be initiated against them for any nuisance .
