27-year-old delivery executive fear drowned in a storm water drain near Jnanabharathi metro station on Friday night.
The deceased Hemanth Kumar,resident of Byatarayanapura was returning home from work on his scooter.
Senior officer told reporters since it was raining and poor visibility Hemanth Kumar lost control on his bike and crashed into the parapet wall and fell into the storm water drain.
Though the drain was around four feet deep but the water force due to the rain was high and police suspect that he might have washed away.
The incident came to light when passers-by noticed the bike and slipper on the roadside and alerted the police,
The Jnanabharathi police along with fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and conducted search operation.
Meanwhile an autorickshaw driver also got down into the drain and made a futile attempt to search .
After searching for three hours the police called out the search operations and resumed on Saturday morning.
The police based on the complaint of Hemanth family taken up a missing complaint for further investigation.
