The Ramamurthynagar police on Friday track down a gang of three who had robbed a delivery executive and his friend while they were returning from work in Kelkere on Sunday night.
The accused Murugan,35 and his associates Anil Kumar,31 and Tejas,25,are mechanics and cab driver by profession are addicted to alcohol and gambling.
In order to arrange money for their vices,the trio move around on their bike and target people moving in night time and rob them at knife point .
The accused had intercepted a delivery executive and robbed his wrist watch,phone and forced him to transfer ₹ 3,700 to their online account when they find the victim did not have any cash.
Based on the complaint,a team of police led by Inspector Muthuraju H,track down the accused based on the money transaction details and arrested them.
Probe found that the accused had involved in another robbery case in the adjacent area,The police have recovered valuables worth Rs.70,000 from them.
