3 engineering students dead after car crashes into tree in Kolar,one miraculously survives

T hree students of a private college were killed and another escaped unhurt when the car they were travelling lost control and crashed into a roadside tree in the outskirt of Kolar on Friday night .

The deceased have been identified as Harshavardhan, from Hassan,Basavaraj from Bellary,Prajwal from Bangarapet.

The victims are students of Reva University, pursuing mechanical engineering course.Probe revealed that the victims are friends and had gone to Sai Gagan’s house in Kolar to get the marriage invitation.

Sai Gagan’s sister was getting married in August and Sai wanted to invite his friends and relatives in Bengaluru for the wedding.

As per the plan,Prajwal borrowed the car belongings to his friend’s friend,a doctor by profession and was driving.

After getting the invitation,they were heading to Bengaluru when Prajwal was driving the car and Sai Gagan was seated next to him .

Senior officer with others visited the spot and it is suspect that Prajwal was over speeding and lost control and crashed into the roadside tree.

Even though the car was mangled due to the impact of the accident killing three of them on the spot,Sai Gagan escaped miraculously with minor injuries .

The Kolar rural police have registered a case of death due to rash and negligent act against Prajwal for further investigation.

The police have awaiting post mortem report to ascertain whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The police are also awaiting report from the Transport officials report to ascertain the exact cause of the accident said a senior officer.
