The Soladevanahalli police on Saturday arrested a 28-year-old counter salesman of a medical store for sexually harassing a nursing student while she was walking to the hostel near Sapthagiri college footpath at around 9 pm .
The accused Basavaraju,from Jevargi confronted the victim molested her on the deserted road and fled the scene when shocked victim raised alarm.
Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused based on CCTV footage and arrested him.
The accused was married and presently living alone as his wife had gone to her home town for delivery, a senior officer, said .
The police are verifying the background of the accused to ascertain his criminal background .
