21-year-old youth was killed on the spot after a gang of three chased his two-wheeler and crushed him along with the bike over a road rage incident in Sapthagiri layout in Vidyaranyapura on Wednesday night .
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh, worked as delivery executive for a private firm and resident of Chamundeshwari Nagar.
Senior officer told reporters that,at around 8 pm on Wednesday near Saptagiri Layout,Mahesh was riding triples on a white Bajaj Pulsar with his two friends Nikhil and Balaji,also in their early 20s to have tea.The trip have fished their graduation and worked part-time.
Meanwhile the accused identified as Arvind and Chennakeshava,heading on same direction for a joy ride .
Arvind, who was driving honked at Mahesh to clear the way.Since Mahesh continued to ride as is, Arvind drove his car and slightly brushed against the motorcycle.
Scared of repercussions,Mahesh began to speed,while infuriated Arvind chased him,After few yards of hot chase as the bike slowed down,Nikhil and Balaji jumped,while Mahesh continued to ride while Arvind chased behind him.”
Mahesh reached a dead end of the residential lane and slowed down his motorcycle but crushed against the wall of a house .
He sustaining major injuries to his head and killed on the spot.The car also hit a pole next to the compound wall of the house
All three on the motorcycle were not wearing helmets,” an official said.The three were out to get tea while the two suspects were returning home after running some errands.
We have arrested Arvind,an employee of a private bank in Bengaluru, and Chennakeshava, a civil engineer with a real estate firm.
The two have been booked under Section 103 (punishment for murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigations are on to track down Mahesh two friends who were on the run.
