Vipin Gaur Honored with Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Award

Dr. Vipin Gaur, a renowned international media personality, has been awarded the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Award for his tireless contributions to journalism. As the Founder of the International Council for Journalists, Chief Editor of Country and Politics, and General Secretary of the Newspaper Association of India, Vipin Gaur has played a significant role in the media landscape, both in India and globally.

Expressing his gratitude, Vipin Gaur stated, “The Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Award means a lot to me. A young journalist with a unique identity among Indian journalists, Vipin Gaur began his journey in journalism in 2001 while still in school, fully entering the field in 2003. Beyond journalism, he has also made significant contributions to the Mumbai film industry as a model, actor, director, and dance choreographer.

Following the passing of his father in 2010, Vipin Gaur returned to Delhi and began working with the Newspaper Association of India, where he was appointed National General Secretary in December 2010. Over the years, he has organized numerous programs benefiting journalists in rural and remote areas across major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

For his extensive work in journalism and social service, Vipin Gaur has received over 75 national and international awards. His notable initiatives include Body Donation Camps, the International Festival of Journalism, Journalist Tribute Day, Kalam’s Sepoy Samman, and the National Honor for the families of martyrs of the Bharat Army and Indian Army.
