BMTC bus driver dies of heart attack while driving; Conductors presence of mind saves 50 lives

n a swift action BMTC conductor prevented a major road accident when the driver collapsed and died due to cardiac arrest while driving on nelamangala high way on Wednesday..

A Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) driver from Depot 40 tragically passed away from a sudden heart attack while driving his bus on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Kiran Kumar (40) was operating a BMTC bus en route from Nelamangala to Dasanapura when he collapsed at the wheel.

Acting quickly,the bus conductor,Obalesh,managed to bring the vehicle to a safe stop, averting a potential accident on the busy route.

Following the incident,Obalesh immediately transported Kumar to V.P.Magnus Hospital,where doctors declared him brought dead,citing a heart attack as the cause.

The Nelamangala police have registered a case of unnatural death,and a post-mortem will be conducted before releasing the body to Kumar’s family.

BMTC condoled the tragic death and appreciated the conductor swift action of saving the bus and preventing major accident.
