Haveri (Shiggaon):Close on the heels of by-polls of the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency,former Chief Ministers B.S.Yediyurappa,Basavaraj Bommai,Union Minister, Pralhad Joshi,and other BJP leaders held a massive show of strength in support of NDA candidate Bharat Bommai.
At a large public gathering held at Shiggaon Santhe Maidan on Sunday,the leaders urged people to elect Bharat with a significant margin to teach a lesson to the state government.
Addressing the gathering,Yediyurappa said there was a time when elections were won through money power, political influence, and caste politics.
Times have changed;this is Modi’s era.BJP will win all three seats in this by-election.Let Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and name a constituency where his party will win.
Bhagyashree Scheme
Yediyurappa said he initiated the Bhagyashree Scheme during his tenure as Chief Minister.It has matured,but this incompetent government has not released the funds.
This government is bankrupt. If the funds for girls under the Bhagyashree Scheme are not released within a week, he would lead a state-wide protest.
No development happening in the state.Officials themselves are reporting loot in the excise department. This government is drowned in corruption”.
Victory by 50,000 Votes “
The veteran BJP leader said the NDA candidate Bharat Bommai will win in the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency by a margin of at least 50,000 votes.If that margin is even one vote less, he will consider it a defeat.
