Electronic City traffic police booked HGV driver for blocking traffic on Hosur road by Leaving the Container Truck In Middle of Road & escaped over trivial row

raffic on busy Hosur road was disrupted for over an hour when a Nagaland registered heavy goods vehicle blocked the road after a tiff with the traffic police over a trivial row on Wednesday night.

Hundreds of vehicle stranded on the road when the driver of the truck blocked the road and escaped after allegedly assaulted by the traffic police .

The vehicle coming from Hosur tried to enter the city despite the rule of banning heavy vehicles entering the city from 4,30 pm to 8.30 pm .

The driver argued and created ruckus when the traffic policeman attached to electronic city on duty tried to stop the vehicle entering the city at Hosur road nice road junction.

The driver was asked to take the service road,but he was adamant,a senior officer,said .

Heated argument ensued following which the driver parked the vehicle in the middle of the road blocking the traffic and ran away.

It was alleged that the traffic policeman became uncontrollable and assaulted the driver and hurled abuses at him.

Taking a objection to the rude behaviour,DCP,Traffic south Division,Shivaprakash Devaraju,said that the police struggled to move the vehicle to allow smooth movements of traffic.

The Electronic city traffic police have registered an FIR against the driver charging him under violating prohibition of heavy vehicle entry,parking on main road, entering in no entry zone and obstructing traffic for further investigation.
