Private firm employee arrested by immigration officials at airport after 8 years for using fake documents to travel to UK

Immigration officials on Friday caught a 37-year-old private firm employee who travelled to UK with fake documents eight years ago .

The accused,Gobi Jayaveeran from Thanjavur in Tamilnadu was intercepted soon after he landed at the Kempedowda International airport from London with emergency certificate.

Upon questioning he said that he had lost his passport in London and managed to come back through emergency certificate.

On suspicion the officials checked his departure details and found that he had boarded a flight to London from Chennai on October 2017 in the name of Mathumati Ramaswamy.

Further questioning revealed that his original name is Gobi Jayaveeran and had gone and stayed in London under fake identity.

Based on the complaint filed by,Anilkumar B Mangavati, immigration officials,the airport police have registered a case against Jayaveeran charging him under PP Act for further investigations.
