2 cops,middleman in ACB net for accepting bribe in Bengaluru :
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday arrested Banasawadi Police Inspector Muni krishna.D.H, Constable Umesh and Ashraf, a middle man on Saturday
The police Inspector and Constable of Banasawadi Police station with a middle man was caught red-handed by the sleuths of Anti-corruption bureau for accepting bribe Rs.30,000 from businessman and was arrested on charges on corruption.
The accused has been identified as Banasawadi Police Inspector Muni krishna.D.H,Cosntable Umesh with a middle man identified as Ashraf.
Ismail had approached the ACB on last Wednesday and alleged that the Banaswadi inspector Munikrishna is demanding bribe.The complainant runs a snooker academy in Banasawadi police station limits.The Inspector Munikrishna allegedly demanded Rs.80,000 from the complainant to allow him to run the snooker academy and also to help in a complaint registered against him.The complainant also stated that HC Umesh along with one other would act as
middlemen and finalized the deal.
The ACB sleuths based on complaint led a trap and caught constable Umesh red handed accepting bribe from snooker club owner Ismail and he was collecting the money as bribe on behalf of the Inspector. Umesh and Ashraf allegedly forced the complainant to pay bribe. Unable to pay it, the complainant approached the ACB. Accordingly, ACB laid a trap and arrested the accused and seized the bribe amount of Rs.30,000 from them.
After investigating all the three accused has confessed the crime and a case has been registered against all the three accused under the prevention of corruption Act and later they were produced before the magistrate and the court has remanded them to 14 days judicial custody he added.
