“Cops urges Hi-End Bike owners to exercise caution by taking precautionary measures as bike lifters are targeting Hi-End bikes”.And those owning expensive bikes should park them within the compound if your house has no compound then lock up your bike by chaining it to the nearest pillar or lock it with wheel locking and we also recommend car owners to installation of burglar alarms and GPS trackers in the vehicles which will help them to save their bikes and it will be safe.
The South division police of VV Puram police have busted Hi tech Bike Offender gang and arrested trio the Inter-State bike lifters and various types of 17 Hi-End bikes have been recovered from them totally 17 Hi-End bikes valued at Rs.20 lakh from them.
The accused has been identified as Munneer Pasha (20), Mohammed Mujahid (25) and Mohan (19), all hailing from Vaniyambadi and Ambur in Tamilnadu.The accused would come to Bengaluru with the aim of stealing motorcycles in bus they are native of Tamilnadu but they are residing in Karnataka.
Modus Operandi :
They would come to city by travelling in a bus and after entering city they used to take shelter in outskirts area and after scooting the areas in day and night time they used to target only Hi-end bikes and once they get chance they used to lift the expensive bikes parked outside offices and houses.Further on, they would steal the motorcycles using duplicate keys or by breaking the ignition lock and ride back to their hometown where they would sell the bikes after changing the registration number plates.They used to operate mainly in posh areas like,Bytarayanapura,Jayanagar, Ashoknagar,Hebbagudi, Bandepalya,Wilson Garden,and in Tamilnadu’s ShriPerambur,Hosur,and Vellore and other places they have lifted the bikes.
The cops have recovered totally 17 Hi-End bikes worth of Rs.20 lakhs like,8-Royal Enfield bullets,1-Yamaha FZ,1-Yamaha R-15,1-Bajaj Pulsar 200cc,3-Bajaj Pulsar -150cc,1-Honda Shine,1-Honda DIo,1-Yamaha RX-100 altogether 17 bikes.
DCP South,K.Annamalai,told media persons that as there was increase in bike theft complaints in the VV Puram police Station limits ACP,Valli Basha,formed a special team under the leadership of PI,VV Puram inspector,K.Shivashankar,and his team swung into action and the special squad as patrolling unit were checking vehicles in VV Puram police station limits they found two motorcycles coming in suspicious manner when they came nearby the patrolling unit cops flagged down the bike but the rider drove the vehicle in speedy way our team gave them a dramatic chase in which one rider was apprehended by our team and took the suspect to station for questioning during questioning our team were not satisfied with his statement so they detained the suspect and when the crime team grilled him he spilled the beans and revealed that he and his two other friends used to commit theft and based on his statement VV Puram Inspector,Shivashankar and his crime team nabbed other two accused and during the course of interrogation the trio confessed to crime and based on their statement the team went to Tamilnadu and recovered stolen 17 Hi-End Bikes from them.A detailed investigation by the team it is revealed the criminals are well experts some are mechanics and they would target vehicles parked outside the house and offices they would break the lock and then bypass the ignition to start the motorcycle and sell it to youths in the village for cheap rate he and his associate used to operate in the city and based on their statement our team were Successful in recovering 17, Hi-End bikes worth of Rs.20 Lakh and after stealing the bikes they used to spend money in doing party and used to lead a luxurious life and now are cooling their heels in jail and we found that bike lifters are targeting only Hi-End bikes like,Royal Enfield bikes this is a clear sign that they are lifting only those bikes which fetch them a lot of money when sold.If they try to sell any ordinary bike without supporting documents the most they get is Rs.5000.But when they sell costly bikes they get more money the other reason they prefer these bikes is that they too could ride them for their enjoyment and with this arrest we have detected 17 cases reported across the state and we have traced the owners of 17 bikes and the keys were handed over to the rightful owners.The trio had been previously booked in theft cases in Tamilnadu.and a case has been registered in VV Puram police station and all the accused has been remanded to judicial custody and a special team is on their job to nab the five absconding accused identified as,Zulfikar Ali,Mani,Chinnaras,Fayzan and Wahid and further investigation is on and finally Bengaluru Police commissioner,T.Suneel Kumar,has appreciated Addl CP West,BK Singh,DCP South,K.Annamalai,ACP, VV Puram Sub-Division,Valli Basha,PI,K.Shivashankar,ASIs as,D.N.Gangadharaiah,Rajanna, and their crime staff as,Yeshwanthadeep.C,Siddaiah, Manjunath.H,Pratap, Mahalingappa,Mutthuraju,who has done a exemplary work in recovering the stolen bikes worth of Rs.20 lakhs from them and a cash reward of Rs.25,000 has been awarded to the team by our south Division office and other suitable award will be given by the Commissioner of police to the team he added.
