The Aam Aadmi Party and Congress together have worked to mislead the people to incite violence in Delhi- Manoj Tiwari

While giving reaction on the arrest of former Congress Councilor Ishrat Jahan for inciting the local people for violence in Delhi, BJP Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that firstly Aam Aadmi Party councilor Tahir Hussain was found involved in the violence act in Delhi and now Congress Councilor Ishrat Jahan’s name came up for the same simply pointing that Aam Aadmi Party and Congress together have worked to mislead people to incite violence in Delhi. Ishrat Jahan was also arrested on 13 January for delivering inflammatory speeches during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, but still Ishrat Jahan continued to give speeches that incited violence.

Shri Tiwari said that the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, do politics of religion, have tried to push Delhi in the fire of riots. In the atmosphere of violence, it was the moral responsibility of all political parties to avoid any statements that would encourage violent activities, but the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have proved that Delhi’s security and peace do not matters to them. Shri Tiwari said that after the Citizenship Amendment Act came into force, the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have opposed this law, which sent a wrong message to these people of Delhi and they too are opposing this law.

Expressing his concern over the Delhi violence, Shri Tiwari said that he is constantly in touch with the people and every effort is being made to maintain peace. People are still scared but the situation is moving towards normalcy. My only wish is that the injured get well soon and strict action should be taken against the perpetrators of violence. Everyone needs to understand that the Citizenship Amendment Act does not apply to Muslims of India or people born in India, so the people of Delhi
