After confirming that she was alone at home, Nisar walked to the house carrying a bottle of petrol and asked Ayesha to take out the cylinder from the kitchen.
While Ayesha was busy getting the cylinder,Nisar poured petrol on her and ran out to lock the door from outside. He later tried to lit a match stick and throw it in from the window.
Realizing his intentions, she closed the window and started screaming loudly seeking help.Nisar broke the glass window and threw the burning match stick inside the house.
A glass piece slashed Nisar’s hand in the melee and he sustained deep cut injuries on his hand .
The fire quickly spread following a blast in the house which damaged the front door.
Nisar also sustained burn injuries on his face. The neighbors hearing the sound rushed to her help but Nisar escaped .
While Ayesha was rescued and shifted to the Victoria hospital she succumbed later.
Based on the information, the Adugodi police began to search for Nisar who switched off his phone before boarding a bus to Andhra Pradesh.
In order to escape arrest Nisar did not even go to the hospital to get treatment for his injuries and slept on the footpath .
The police struggled to locate him since he had switched off his phone, which was the only possible way.
As his health deteriorated Nisar died due to a suspected cardiac arrest on the footpath in Penukonda town.
The murder came to light when passers-by found the phone from his pocket and called up the last dialled number which was to his son Mansoor.
The PM of the body was conducted and handed over to the family.
We have registered a case of murder against Nisar and now we will file a report before the court as part of the chargesheet for further procedure,a senior police officer said.
