Alert patrolling police caught a notorious bike lifter and recovered 12 two wheelers worth Rs 6.7 lakh from him.
The accused was caught by Head Constable Venkataramappa while he was moving suspiciously in a residential area.
Senior officer told media persons,the patrolling staff of Kengeri police station,head constable Venkataramanappa while doing patroling he noticed a person moving suspiciously the inspector,Vasanth C and his team rushed to spot.
After keeping a close watch when the suspect coming in TVS bike was questioned to show the vehicle and when he failed to produce the documents.
He was brought to the station and a detailed questioning led him to confess that he would steal parked bikes in front of the houses,by breaking the hand locks .
Based on his information the police recovered 12 bikes which he had stolen from various parts of the city since few months .
The accused has been taken into custody for further investigations.
Finally Bengaluru Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP,Kodandarama,PI Vasanth C,and his crime staff who has done a exemplary work in nabbing the notorious bike lifter and recovered stolen bikes from him based on his confession a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
