The Konanakunte police on Saturday arrested a gang of three and recovered gold valuables and two bikes worth Rs.10 lakh from them.
The accused identified as Ullas,19,Raghu Nayak, 20,Nandan,18,Saleem,Sagar,Sumanth were high school drop outs involved in at least four house break thefts and two bike thefts reported in and around the city in the recent past.
Senior officer told media persons,there were series of house break thefts and vehicle thefts were reported in Konanakunte police station limits.
The accused were arrested by the police while they were moving suspiciously near an Apartment in JP Nagar 8th phase on Friday.
A special team was led by DCP,South,Harish Pandey,under the supervision of ACP, Shivakumar TM,a team headed by PI,Nanjegowda S,who were on patrolling received a tip off that 6-7 persons are armed with lethal weapons and are waiting to rob people.
Based on information PSIs,as,Arun Kumar,Vinay KL,and his crime staff pressed into action and rushed to the spot and surrounded the area and secured three persons on the spot other 3 escaped.
The trio were brought to the station and a detailed questioning led them to confess to the crime and based on their statement our team secured other three and recovered.
Based on their confession the team cracked three house break thefts reported in Konanakunte and Jigani and two bike theft cases in Bommanahalli and Hebbagoudi police station limits.
A detailed questioning led the accused revealed about their modus operandi they revealed that they would move around the city on the stolen bikes to identify locked houses and break into them they used to identify small houses as they are not professional HBT offender.
With their arrest the team recovered stolen gold ornaments and bike worth of Rs.10 lakhs from them.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil DCP,South,Harish Pandey,ACP,TM Shivakumar,PI, Nanjegowda S,PSIs,as,Arun Kumar M,Vinay KL and their crime staff has been appreciated for the commendable job done by them in nabbing all the six accused and a special reward will be given to the team he added.
