A 38-year-old Australian National and CEO of a company has been assaulted and robbed of his valuables by a gang of four who offered to help him file a police complaint against the staff of a hotel who assaulted him over a row over payment at a hotel in Govindapura in the wee hours of Thursday.
The victim filed a complaint with the police who track down one of the accused identified as Syed Imran and arrested him on Saturday.
The victim,Aso Hamzehei,who was heading to work prestige central,at Manyata tech park was stayed at Fortune in hotel since May 23 this year .
In his complaint the victim said,that he returned to the hotel late night from work when the staff confronted him and demanded the dues to the paid.
Mr.Hamzehei told them that he will make the payment online but the staff insisted that the cash payment since there was an issue over online payment earlier.
Heated argument ensued following which Hamzehei told to vacate the room and the staff in the melee assaulted him.
Hearing the commotion three men staying in the adjacent room came out,offered to help and take him to the station.
The accused took Hamzehei along with the three bags in a scooter and took him to an isolated place where they assaulted him again and robbed two bags,two mobile phones,wallet containing credit cards,cash Rs.4,000 and keys at knife point.
Hamzehei resisted and attacked them with the stones he grabbed from the roadside following which the accused escaped .
He later went to the KG Halli police station and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint,the police rushed to the hotel and detained the staff and seized the CCTV footage where the alleged attack was recorded .
The police also following the same and arrested one of the accused involved in the robbery and efforts are on to track down others, senior officer told reporters.
