Any Complaint raised related to Panchayat- strict action to be taken- CM instructed

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:The state government took strict action related to any complaint raised against any panchayat in West Bengal. The government has ordered to act within seven days if there is any complaint of irregularities in various projects. State panchayat secretary P Ulganathan has sent the standard of operation procedure or SOP in a letter to the district magistrates.Panchayat Grievance Portal (www.prdgrievance.in) has already been developed. For the past five months, the state’s allocation has been withheld due to the Centre’s reckless behavior. At the same time, the government is also reluctant to accept any regulation. Due to this 11 point SOP has been sent.It has been said that if people complain, the same should be resolved quickly. Strict action should be taken if there is evidence of wrongdoing. Complainant has to SMS and upload it on the portal. A nodal officer has already been fixed to investigate the complaint. There is also monitoring. Government officials including SP, BDO should conduct surveillance. Complaints of senior citizens, women and disabled should be given priority.
