Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said an inquiry into the demise of Police Inspector Nandish will be held after collecting details from DG&IGP.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, he said there was no question of thinking twice in regard to holding an inquiry into Inspector Nandish’s death.

Gifts for scribes: Congress has no moral right

Asked about the Congress Party tweet on the gifts for journalists, the CM attributed it to the Congress Toolkit.

They (Congress) are experts in creating lies. “I have not issued any instructions (to distribute gifts to journalists).

We all know what gifts the Congress leaders had given to some press reporters and the same had been reported in newspapers.

They have been given Iphones, laptops and gold coins and have no moral right to talk about it.

Someone has filed a complaint with Lokayukta and it will be probed. It is not correct to say all journalists have accepted the gifts.

The Congress spokesperson has spoken very badly on this issue on Saturday and I will condemn it”.

Convention of backward classes

Bommai said in the wake of a big support for BJP from Other Backward Classes, a convention is held in Kalaburagi.

A convention of Scheduled Tribes will be held in November and it will be followed by a convention of Scheduled Caste; farmers’ convention in Hubballi and women’s convention in December.

This has been decided by the State BJP President and Core Committee.Around two lakh people are expected to participate in today’s convention in Kalaburagi.
