Terrorist attack in Pulwama,Bengaluru Engineering student supports terrorist attack convicted by NIA Special Court for 5 years

The special NIA court convicted a engineering student for supporting and hailing Pulwama terrorist attack,sentencing him with five years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs.10,000.

The accused identified as Faiz Rasheed, pursuing third semester engineering at a city based college,was arrested by cyber crime police for his post on social media hailing the terror attack in Pulwama and criticizing the army in February 2019 .

His message amount to create law and order problem and hatred between the two communities .

A suo motu case was filed and the police arrested the accused from Banaswadi charging him under section 153A (offence of promoting disharmony,enmity or feelings of hatred between different communities),124A (sedition) of IPC and also under UAPA act.

The police have seized his mobile phone from where he had uploaded a series of comments to support the terrorist attack and criticize the army .

He was remanded to judicial custody and was not granted bail since then.

A meticulous and tireless investigation by the then officers as,PT Subramanya,and Ramachandra NH with the Public Prosecutor Arun Kumar has collaborated technical evidence and proved the accused guilty by court and hence convicted.
