Gubbi court magistrate joined hands with police for traffic enforcement

Concerned about the growing traffic violations and no traffic discipline among the motorists,Gubbi police led by magistrate and court officials launched a special drive to streamline the traffic management in the town.

The magistrate and the police confronted motorists violating the traffic rules blatantly by riding without helmet,triple riding and rash and negligent driving.

Many bikers are minors and found riding triple on the main roads endangering their lives and also posing threat to other motorists .

Magistrate,Manjula Shivappa handi,called the parents of the minor riders to the spot and warned them about to the rules and the fines and legal action.

Many of the IMV Cases the court handled did not have proper documents or licenses and hence the victims of the fatal road accident will not be getting compensation,Ms.Manjula, said .

The police said that the special drive launched on Wednesday will be about creating awareness and letting off the offenders with warnings.

But afterwards we started booking cases against the offenders and implementing the rules strictly,a police officer,said.
