The ruling Congress on Sunday launched a week-long house-to-house campaign across 60 assembly constituencies of Tripura & Bjp also highlighting the good work done by the BJP-IPFT coalition in five years, ahead of the assembly polls in February, 2023.
Besides Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Pratima Bhowmik, BJP state in-charge Mahesh Sharma led the campaign in separate constituencies of the state along with the local leaders.
BJP Party state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said the campaign, launched soon after the PM Narendra Modi’s Maan Ki Baat, would continue until December 3 and the leaders would try to visit at least each of the localities in the constituency if not all houses with the success stories of the BJP-led government.
“Our government has done several good works, including providing sustainable livelihood support, development of rural infrastructure, implementing social welfare schemes and numerous development projects for connectivity development with the rest of the states and neighbouring countries for which the people of Tripura had aspired for the last 50 years. So, we shall seek votes based on the performance of our government,” Bhattacharjee said.
Congress Leader Advocate Abhijit Sarkar also launched a week-long door-to-door campaign across 32- Matabari assembly constituencies of Tripura. Mr. Sarkar also visit whole assembly constituencies in Tripura, for the Door to Door Campaign, Election awareness programme by the administration & INC supporters.

Chief Minister of Tripura told the Media that opposition parties have been suffering from a chronic problem of leadership and negative politics. “People have not been accepting them as BJP’s five years’ tenure is now being compared with the 25 years of communist rule and the Congress government in 1988-1993.”
“Tripura has been re-introduced at the national level by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi through recognising the talents of the state, facilitating global marketing of the best quality pineapple, jackfruit and scented lemon,” Saha said.
“Tripura’s bamboo and agar (the natural ingredient of perfume) are known to the World because of the PM and the first logistic hub in the special economic zone of the northeast would soon be added in the state,” he added.
