Senior IPS officer Kamal Pant, bagged as Best officer of the year,by World Book of Records for his yeoman contribution for the society

F ormer City Police Commissioner presently heading the State Police recruitment division, kamal Pant has got another feather in his cap with a prestigious award by President CEO of world book of records,India honoured him with the certificate of appreciation as Best officer of the year categories.

The honour was in recognition for his yeoman contribution for the society to maintain law and order bringing peace and harmony in the society.

He maintain high ethical standards while performing his duties which has been considered as a mark of yardstick for the public service.

A 1990 batch officer,Kamal Pant was very popular among all walks of life and among different communities.He earned a reputation of tough cop yet humble down to earth and no nonsense officer.

During his tenure he cracked many important cases of National and international ramifications and strive hard and faced challenges to maintain law and order.

Kamal Pant,a 1990 batch of Indian Police Service officer,had served as Superintendent of Police in various districts and also Additional Commissioner for law and order in Bengaluru City.

Pant is senior most in ADGP rank and also served as ADGP in KSRP,Administration and intelligence division.He is known for administrative skills, including the reforms he brought in prisons.

He brought many innovations and earned fame in making people friendly policing by introducing Jana Sampark Divas across city to address the grievance of general public,saving 92 crores of public money from Cyber Frauds through his innovative GOLDEN HOUR initiative in deporting cyber crimes and recovering the lost money.

He brought many reforms in night beat and Revamped patrolling system to check crime and law and order.

He was considered one of the Best city Police Chief by his colleagues and officers who worked under him.
