udduguntepalya PSI Manjunathswamy has been suspended on Wednesday minutes after an FIR filed against him .
A Police Sub Inspector attached to Sudduguntepalya police station,in the dock for misbehaving with a woman who had come to the station to give statement for a case related to dowry harassment on Saturday.
The woman later posted her ordeal on social media tagging the city police,which went viral.
Taking cognizance of the incident,DCP,Southeast CK Baba,initiated a probe and asked the victim to file a complaint to further investigations.
The accused PSI,identified as Manjunath Swamy has not only touched her inappropriately but also taken her contact number asking her to give him a call and sent her message to wish her for Easter .
shocked by this,the victim narrated her ordeal on the social media seeking suggestions on how to come out of this .
The Bengaluru City police official are now analyzing the CCTV footage to corroborate with the victim’s narration .
The mobile phone of the accused officer has been taken to ascertain whether he had sent the messages . The station has around 20 staff moving around including the victim and some visitors .
The victim said that she was socked and stunned by his behaviour and did not know how to react.But by then she received a call from her mother and she got out of the chamber on the pretext of attending the call .
The police will now investigate the case and legal action be taken against him,DCP Southeast,CK baba said .
