he Vidyaranyapura police on Wednesday busted an inter state drug racket and arrested a gang recovered 5.5 kilograms of marijuana from them.
Based on a tip off,a team of police arrested Manjunath, resident of Thindlu while he was trying to sell the drugs to his clients.
Based on his information the police arrested his associates identified as Muniyappa, from Hosakote , Niranjan Pradhan and Fakir Dalapathi from Odisha, who were supplying the drugs to Muniyappa and Manjunath.
The accused have been booked under NDPS and investigating further to ascertain their network .
In a similar incident, the JP Nagar police arrested two peddlers recovered 52 kilos of Marijuana worth Rs.26 lakh from them.
The duo was sourcing the drugs from their contacts in Andhra Pradesh and smuggling into city in goods vehicles to sell it among their contacts.
