* It was the hope of Basavanna and Vachanas that people should live without discrimination out of mutual love.

Basavanna’s wish to build a caste-free society has not yet been fulfilled.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed regret that caste discrimination is increasing among educated people.

He was speaking after inaugurating the country’s first cultural campaign “No one else but you”-“Neenallade Matyaaru llavaiah’ organized by Dr Sri Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami at Kondajji Basappa Hall.

Visited Chamarajanagar 12 times and became CM for the 2nd time:

Educated people also believe the myth that if you visit to Chamarajanagar, you will lose the CM’s chair.I went to Chamarajanagar 12 times and became Chief Minister for the second time.

Basavanna fought against such superstition and caste system in 12th century. He had created awareness. He said that it is false to say that caste and value will disappear if you get education.

The society dreamed by Basavanna should be built. Kayaka and Dasoha values should increase.Kayaka means production,Dasoha means distribution.

It was Basavanna’s wish that the production of the society should be distributed to everyone in the society. It is for this reason that Basavadi Sharanas Anubhava Mantapa was created.

Anubhava Mantapa, which was the then Parliament, had a desire to provide equal opportunity and status to all castes. He said that this is the aspiration of our government.

Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Thangadagi, Industry Minister M.B Patil, former legislators Shamanur Shivshankarappa,Srinivas, former Minister PGR Scindia, Kondajji Mohan were present on the occasion.
