12-year-old class six boy was killed and his classmate sustained multiple fractures when the wall of the water tank collapsed on them at the residential school premises om Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Koushik Gowda,resident of Hosuru Gollahalli and the injured Charan,sustained multiple fracture was admitted to the hospital.
The duo was student of Gollahalli Morarji residential school situated in Bidadi town along with over 240 students study.
According to the police the incident occurred at around 8.30 am when the duo after having breakfast went to the tank to wash their plates.The cement cover of the water tank collapsed and the duo was buried under he debris.
The other students and staff hearing the collapse sound rush to their help and rescued the duo before rushing them to the hospital where the doctors declared Koushik as brought dead .
The water tank was dilapidated condition and was being neglected by the management.Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of un-natural death and are investigating .
