ontinuing investigations into the child sale racket the CCB officials on Wednesday arrested a MBBS drop out who not only operating through his clinic in Rajajinagar but also helped the accused in getting fake certificates .
The police had also arrested another woman who acted as agent and sold the baby belonging to her relative .
According to the senior officer the accused fake doctor identified as Kevin had dropped out of MBBS course in third year and joined the gang and successfully running the clinic in Rajajinagar .
The accused is not only helping the accused in the racket but also treating other patients,the officials, said .
The police had taken the accused Kevin into custody to ascertain his exact role .
The other accused Ramya who was arrested by the CCB told the officials that she had helped her relative to deliver a baby out of wedlock .
Her relative wanted to terminate the pregnancy and took care of her until the baby was delivered.The accused took the baby and sold it to the accused and obtained some money.
Ramya was arrested from Hebbal after the accused revealed her name.So far 10 accused have been arrested and the police had sent the accused along with the 20-days-old rescued baby boy to the Judicial custody .
The baby belonged to one of the accused who had come to sell it to the prospective clients,the officer, said .
The accused were operating the racket form Tamilnadu and Bengaluru for the past three years and suspected to have sold many babies .
The police are now planning to take the custody of the accused to question them.
