engaluru: The Peenya police have cracked a robbery case and arrested a former driver who roped in his associates to rob his employer on in HMT Layout on December 4.
The accused posing as policemen barged into the house and assaulted Roopesh,son and Sujatha,wife of busniessman,Roopesh before fleeing with 700 grams of gold and cash Rs.60 lakh.
The accused had ransacked the house and even took away DVR to avoid being identified .
Based on the complaint by Manohar,owner of the house,the police gathered the CCTV footage from in and around the area and track down the accused .
One of the prime accused Nagaraj,used to visit the house of Manohar to pick up and drop his employer and noticed the valuables kept in the house and hatched a plan with his associates to rob, a senior officer, said .
