lert hotel staff helped the police to arrest 39-year-old CEO of a start up company who was heading to taxi carrying the body of her four year old son in a suitcase after smothering him to death in a hotel room in Goa to Bengaluru in a taxi on Tuesday .
The accused Suchana Sait was intercepted by Imangala police following a tip off from Goa police and recovered the suitcase which had stuffed body of four year old son.
The accused suchana sait had stayed in hotel in Goa with the son and later checked out alone.when hotel staff asked about the kid she said she sent the kid with her relative.When the staff went to check the room found blood stains and informed the police .
She was later handed over to Goa police.Initial investigations found that the accused had separated from husband and a case is pending before the court.
The accused did not want husband to have the child and decided to kill him,the police said.
The accused has been taken into custody to ascertain the reason behind the crime.
The body of the boy was handed over to the father who had performed the last rites on Wednesday.
Seth,CEO of The Mindful AI Lab,was arrested in Karnataka’s Chitradurga on Monday morning while transporting her son’s body in a bag,allegedly after killing him in a service apartment in Candolim in North Goa .
A preliminary probe,found Suchana Seth and her husband had filed for divorce.She was reportedly unhappy with a court order allowing her estranged husband to meet their son every Sunday.
Consequently,she allegedly planned to kill her son just a day before the scheduled meeting.
She had a troubled relationship with her husband, and their divorce process was nearly finalised.There was also a court order causing distress to her.
Interrogation is ongoing,and we are required to present her before the court.The motive is yet to be confirmed, this is what she conveyed to our investigators.
We need to review the court order before making further statements,” said Nidhin Valson, North Goa’s Superintendent of Police.
