he four-year-old boy who was smothered to death by his mother in a hotel in Goa was cremated in Harishchandra Ghat here on Wednesday.
The Boy’s father,Venkatraman,along with his relatives and friends performed the last rites.His body was brought to the city earlier today after post-mortem at Hiriyuru government hospital .
The PM reports suggested that the child was strangled or smothered to death using a piece of cloth or pillow.
Meanwhile the police has recovered two empty bottles of cough syrup from the room where the accused had stayed,indicated that the child was administered syrup before committing the crime .
